'Through Counting to 10' is more than a blog title... it's an outlook on life. Childbirth and parenting has taught me to be unapologetic about my passions. It stems from the hard lessons I learned delivering my daughter; to listen to myself and ignore what the establishment says my delivery (and life) is supposed to be.
I am married to my best friend and have a beautiful little girl. I studied journalism and political science and was a news producer for a 24-hour news station. Currently, I direct newscasts for my local NBC and ABC affiliate stations.
I am also a doula seeking DONA certification and have hopes of becoming a childbirth educator and midwife.
